Dear  Members and Friends

 

Happy NEW YEAR - last year ended with bad weather and some of our friends did not make the last meeting, this is due to some transport providers and helpers plus the band feeling the weather was too bad for them to attend.  Let’s hope this new year brings better weather and less disruption, but remember it will be down to weather conditions and the safety of our members which will decide whether the meetings go on, and even around the area we cover the weather can vary from area to area especially in low lying land etc.

 

Now the good news here are details of our program and annual fees, We say good news as the fees are certainly not what it costs to enable you to come fortnightly to the club and enjoy the events we put on throughout the year.  Historically we struggle with fund raising and at times very few of you are able to support these events, because of the cut backs our fund raising is going to be vital to keep the club running, so it is up to you to decide whether you want your club to continue as it is, if so then please, please remember all fund raising events are as important as the nights at Woodborough Club and all the venues we manage to get to.   We again thank our staunch supporters who do continually support our fund raising events.  You will all be asked for extra money for charities this year, remember we are a charity and try and support us in these very difficult times.    We all know how hard things are - now back to the good news - !!- Membership remains at £50-00 a year despite rising cost on all bills, please enclose cheque or cash in an envelope clearly stating your name and address -  please address envelope to Chairperson Sheila Scott many thanks - DUE NOW PLEASE

 

January  13^th -   Club night at the club come and blow the cob webs away 7.30 -9.30

 

January 15^th   NEW YEAR PARTY    7 - 10PM  THIS WILL INLUDE BUFFET SUPPER, A SINGER TO GET US UP ON THE DANCE FLOOR AND NEW YEAR GIFT - PLEASE ENSURE YOU LET US KNOW IF YOU CANNOT ATTEND DUE TO CATERING -
